We found our “villa” in 2016 on a Spanish marketplace. At that moment just a concrete frame with an amazing view. We moved in in February 2017, although it was not yet “finished”. During the time that followed, more and more finishing touches were added, in and around the house. We built an apartment on the ground floor. This was prepared for holiday rental in December 2022. The permanent swimming pool, sauna and outdoor kitchen will follow… The apartment has a beautiful “vista” to the mountains, Vilanova i la Geltrú and finally on the sea. A private front door, kitchen, cozy living room with sitting area, TV, and a spacious living/dining table with comfortable mobile chairs. The double bedrooms both have their own bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. A fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare a delicious meal with the 2-burner induction hob. You can also use the CharBBQ in the garden. If something is missing, we would like to hear about it! By arrangement you can use the well-equipped gym on the top floor of the house. Free parking in front of the house.
Villa Contenta Canyelles – Costa Dorada
Villa Contenta is in the Las Palmeras district of the beautiful village of Canyelles. For shopping you can go to the Supermercat EuroSpar within 8 minutes’ drive from the Villa. There are also various restaurants in the village. Barcelona’s ‘best’ bread is baked at Fleca Bertran bakery, and a delicious pizza comes from Queen Pizza! Every Sunday there is a small market, with especially lots of fresh vegetables. A 7-minute drive to the Parc Comercial Vilanova will bring you to a big supermarket Mercadona. Also, the Lidl and Aldi can be found in Vilanova i la Geltru which is the closest town, within a 15-minutes’ drive. Here you can also find lovely beaches and a nice town centre with good restaurants and bars.
Sitges town, famous for its lively nightlife, restaurants and fine beaches are only 20 minutes away. Cubelles and Calafell are beautiful coastal towns and within half an hour’s drive. Towards Vilafranca del Penedes you will go more into the countryside, where the beautiful Bodegas are and where you can experience delicious wine and cava tastings. Via the nice C31 coastal road it is an hour drive to the centre of Barcelona or with the faster toll road C32, you reach Barcelona within 40 minutes. A nice trip to recommend, is to take the train from Vilanova railway station and then take either the metro or a hop-on/hop-off bus to explore Barcelona. We wish you a nice and pleasant holiday!
